Sharon has been a member of the Auburn Women's Bowling Association for 37 years. She started bowling at Rainbow Lanes after it opened in the early 60's when she was in high school.
Sharon has bowled on the Sunday Night Mixed league for over 30 years. In the past she bowled on the Monday night late league, later the Sue Blumer Memorial league with her mother, Marge Dewey, and of which she was President for several years.
Sharon has a career high average of 187, her high series is 688 and high game of 276. Over the years her team has won league champions many times in both the women's teams and mixed team. Sharon has entered the Women's Masters Tournament almost every year and has qualified 23 times. Her best finish was the top 8 in 2001. Sharon won the scratch division in 1993 when the tournament was handicapped but had a scratch title also. Sharon competed in several Syracuse masters and for the past few years has assisted Marion Fritz with the Women's Senior Masters. Sharon has won the event two consecutive years, 2006 & 2007. Sharon and her husband George won the B division 700 Club Doubles event in 2005.
Sharon has bowled many 600 series over the years, has bowled in over 20 Auburn City tournaments and 2 NYS tournaments while cashing many times. Sharon is a woman who enjoys tournament play and the competition.

| Meritorious Service: MARIELEN LEONARD |
Marielen has been a member of the Auburn Women's Bowling Association for 44 years. She has bowled her entire career at the King Ferry Bowling Center , bowling every year faithfully. She started bowling 2 and 3 nights a week, sometimes it was 4 leagues but for the last few years it has been twice a week.
Over the years she has been President of some leagues as well as Secretary. Marielen was instrumental in organizing bus trips to state tournaments and along with Izzie Gentilcore from Moravia; they would have 2, 3 or 4 bus loads of women traveling to bowl. She has cashed in several state tournaments and bowled in 4 National tournaments over the years. Marielen served on the Auburn WBA Board of Directors for 20 years.
Her achievements include league team champions, high average, high series and high game awards. Her high game is 257, her high series id 616 and her highest average was 167.She has also received awards for triplicates, all spares and Dutch 200 games.
Marielen met her husband Dave at the King Ferry bowling center. She has 2 sons and as they got involved in bowling, Marielen began her greatest accomplishment, which was working with the junior bowling program. She became a certified coach and worked for over 26 years with the kids. Marielen is especially proud of all her children as she watched them mature and excel in the sport.
